Our first remote cameo baby! Evan Purcell and… family? Who knows? Anyway, thank you! Who can top this? Keep them coming!
Several gay blogs have been nice enough to run items on our remote cameo drive, and the response has been encouraging. You’ve actually pretty much seen it — we post stills of every one that comes in.
These things aren’t all that hard to do, though not everyone has the time, camera or inclination. If that’s you but you’d still like to help, then please download the poster and/or flyer images from this blog, print them out, and leave/tape them… pretty much anywhere.
LGBT film festivals are a great place, or your neighborhood bar, cafe, school, workplace… really, again, anywhere. Because these remote cameos are not for everyone, what’s becoming clear is that we have to spread the word as widely as possible to get even a few people to make them. So any help you can be in getting out the word would be greatly appreciated.
And if you’re thinking of doing one, the fact that we’re not being inundated with them pretty much means we’re using as many as we get. So get shooting!
Thanks.
I wouldn’t say anything, and in general don’t worry about sound at all. Chances are we’re going to put our own sound over your stuff — mainly the audio from the video clip you’re supposedly watching.
If it’s a bunch of video files, a few people have used sendspace to send it to our email account, girlswillbegirls2012@gmail.com, and it’s worked well. It’s free, just ignore the pitches for premium memberships and for the love of god don’t download any of their “wizards.”
If it’s on tape and you can’t get it into a computer then email us at the above edress and we’ll let you know where you can mail it.
Thanks for your interest. It will be amazing if this thing takes off.
No idea/60 to 90 days later.
